PennDOT enacts vacation limits for upcoming wintertime temperature

The travel limitations began at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and will carry on until finally further recognize.

  • The whole duration of Interstate 95 in both of those directions

  • The whole duration of Interstate 283 in each directions
  • The total length of Interstate 295 in each directions
  • The whole duration of Interstate 476 (non-tolled portion) in the two directions and
  • The overall duration of Interstate 676 in both instructions.

Underneath Tier 1 restrictions, the next motor vehicles are not permitted on impacted roadways:

  • Tractors devoid of trailers
  • Tractors towing unloaded or lightly loaded enclosed trailers, open trailers or tank trailers
  • Tractors towing unloaded or evenly loaded tandem trailers
  • Enclosed cargo shipping and delivery trucks that meet up with the definition of a CMV
  • Passenger vehicles (automobiles, SUV’s, pickup vans, etc.) towing trailers
  • Recreational motor vehicles/motorhomes
  • College buses, industrial buses, and motor coaches not carrying chains or Alternate Traction Gadgets (ATD’s) and
  • Motorcycles.

Added velocity and car or truck restrictions on these and other roadways could be added dependent on shifting circumstances.
