Austin Proper

Every Saturday night Austin Proper is hosting their Sundown Swim from 7 to 10 p.m. Each $50 pool pass includes sunset views, a live deejay, and one complimentary Ranch Rider canned cocktail (additional drinks and bites can be purchased on-site from La Piscina). Before heading to the fifth floor rooftop deck, consider renting lounge chairs ($50 per person) or an entire cabana ($500) for up to eight people. 600 W. Second St.

Westin Austin Downtown

With the highest rooftop pool in Austin, the Westin takes going for a swim to new levels. Entry to the pool area is typically free from 5 p.m. to midnight, with lounge chairs, daybeds, and cabanas available for purchase. Order frozen craft cocktails and delicious bites from Azul then enjoy a 360-degree view of downtown. 310 E. Fifth St.

 

The Carpenter Hotel

Located on the edge of Zilker Park, this boutique hotel not only offers a pool pass for non-hotel guests, but their on-site restaurant, Carpenter’s Hall, serves up some of the city’s best dishes and is open for indoor and outdoor dining. Pool passes ($25) are available Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. 400 Josephine St.

 

Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt

This Rainey Street hotel offers all-ages day passes for its pool, which features a view of Lady Bird Lake as well as the option to purchase food and drinks from Geraldine’s. An adult day pass is $38 while children over three get in for $15 between 11 a.m. and sundown. Planning on staying awhile? Purchase a cabana for the day, starting at $100. 605 Davis St.

South Congress Hotel

Lush gardens surround this rooftop pool, which offers day passes for $30 and poolside dining courtesy Café No Sé. For non-hotel guests, pool access is available between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. 1603 S. Congress Ave. 

 

The LINE

Nestled up against the Roy and Ann Butler Hike-and-Bike, the LINE’s heated salt water infinity pool boasts a close-up view of Town Lake and the Congress Ave. Bridge. Non-hotel guests are invited to stop by Monday through Thursday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., with day passes priced at $40 for adults and $25 for children. Hotel Magdalena

Travel back to Austin in the ’70s with Hotel Magdalena’s vintage vibes and shimmering pool. Austin Motel 

Tucked away in the heart of S. Congress, this boutique, rainbow-infused hotel offers adult day pool passes for $20 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. and night passes for $15 between 5 and 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday. 1220 S. Congress Ave.

 

Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol

A day pass to the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol allows guests access to more than just swimming in the connected indoor and outdoor heated pools—For $25, pool guests will also have access to the hotel’s fitness center and locker room. Get a workout in, take a dip, then enjoy a game of outdoor Jenga or corn-hole. The pool is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. 701 E. 11th St.  

 

Fairmont

Located on the seventh floor with a “city center backdrop,” the Fairmont’s heated pool area features an additional whirlpool along with food and drink service from Rules & Regs. Guests with day passes ($40 for adults, $25 for children) are welcome Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., and Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Opt for a shaded poolside daybed for two ($150) to make a day of it. 101 Red River St.
