NEWPORT — The Vanderbilt has big news with the announcement that chef April Bloomfield is the hotel’s new culinary advisor this summertime.

The James Beard award-successful chef is most well-known for the gastro pub Spotted Pig and The Breslin, both of those Michelin-starred restaurants in New York Town.

Her foods will be highlighted in three dining venues at the mansion resort which is portion of the Auberge Resorts Assortment: The Dining Place, The Back garden and The Conservatory. She will oversee all in-area eating as effectively and a refreshed menu on the Roof Deck.

Previous summer, Bloomfield was named chef-in-residence at The Mayflower Inn, a Connecticut Auberge Collections assets in Washington. There, she has garnered excellent reviews and was highlighted in an April 2021 Wall Avenue Journal tale headlined “America’s Latest Destination Places to eat Aren’t Wherever You’d Count on.”

A publicist for the lodge stated Bloomfield was not available for an interview but would be on-website forever.
