The travellers have been arranging to choose the Ovation of the Seas liner to Alaska when they ended up informed they did not have authorization to board since they had been not vaccinated against COVID-19, KIRO reported.
The team claimed they introduced proof of a negative COVID-19 exam taken in 72 hours, which was what they considered was the prerequisite.
It was not.
In Could, the cruise line said any Alaska-bound passengers boarding in Seattle would have to be vaccinated starting Aug. 1, KIRO claimed.
Passenger Marilyn Sylver was dissatisfied after organizing to go on the trip for two years.
“The boat has taken off,” Sylver claimed. “Nobody has talked to us. No one has offered us transportation or viewed that we had a place to remain. They just maintain (acting) like ‘you’re at fault.’”
Syler said she and the other individuals live on fixed incomes and now have to address hotel expenditures and an early flight again to Illinois.
“They explained vaccinated and unvaccinated is welcome,” she stated. “But when we bought listed here, they acted like we squandered our time and we understood improved. We did not.”
