Budget hotel chain Travelodge has launched an optimistic summer sale despite current lockdown restrictions in the UK preventing non-essential travel.
Holidays in the UK and abroad are currently banned under lockdown restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Non-essential travel is banned and that includes hotel stays and holidays for leisure.
Travelodge hopes restrictions will be lifted by summer and has launched a sale on breaks in some of the country’s top holiday spots including Cornwall, York and Edinburgh from £25 per night.
Over one million rooms are available to book for under £25, according to the hotel chain.
Other destinations include London, Bath, Liverpool, Blackpool, Manchester and Bournemouth. You can book the rooms here.
The holidays are available to book now but Travelodge has added a flexible booking rate in case they need to be pushed back due to travel restrictions.
Travelodge says: “What’s more, you can book with complete confidence by choosing our fully refundable Flexible Rate which allows you to cancel or amend your booking up to midday on the date of arrival, without charge.
“With demand for summer rooms expected to be high, book early for our best prices and to avoid disappointment.”
The £25 rooms are available up until the end of December 2021.
Under current government rooms hotels, hostels, guest houses and campsites are closed except for specific circumstances, such as where they act as somebody’s main resident, or where it is essential for work purposes.
The government is set to announce an update on lockdown restrictions on 22 February.
