Spring has sprung, but several of us may previously be eyeing summer months, when New England turns into a sunny, salty coastal paradise.
Travel + Leisure magazine lately launched its annual checklist of the 25 best seashores in the US, and a few are identified in the area.
Good Harbor Beach front in Gloucester, Crystal Lake State Park in Barton, Vt., and Ocean Seaside Park in New London, Conn., were being involved on this year’s record.

In northern New England, Journey + Leisure pointed visitors to Crystal Lake Point out Park in Barton, Vt. The beach front is “lined with about a mile of white sand and backed by scenic mountains,” the publication explained. The park is also rooted in wealthy background dating back again to the 1700s. A significant, granite bathhouse was produced from rock mined from the close by hills, and it has showers and a concession stand. There are also canoes and a cabin on-web site for rentals. The place is great for picnics, swimming, and fishing, T+L explained.
Down in Connecticut, Ocean Beach Park and its fifty percent-mile of golden sand was praised for its gentle tides and terrific sights. Beachgoers can watch the ferries and schooners sail past the New London lighthouse, and a boardwalk with a picnic area, playground, and snack bar keeps all ages entertained. Additionally, there’s mini golfing and an arcade.
The publication mentioned it rated just about every seaside based on the sand, the waves, and the seclusion, as very well as facilities, accessibly, entry to parking, and things to do.
