PennDOT urges motorists to stay away from travel for the duration of the storm if achievable. But if travel is required, use warning, lower speeds and be mindful of shifting weather problems. Freezing temperatures are anticipated in the course of this celebration, so motorists must be conscious of blowing and drifting snow, which can cause icy spots on roadways, which includes overpasses and bridges. With freezing temperatures, roadways that only glimpse damp might truly be icy, and further caution is required when approaching bridges and freeway ramps wherever ice can sort without having warning.
