CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An American Airlines flight to the Bahamas from Charlotte Douglas Intercontinental Airport initially scheduled to depart Monday was delayed for a working day after disruptive passengers would not comply with the federal mask mandate.
Monday, passengers aboard the flight shared their frustrations with the flight being delayed — indicating a team of significant faculty seniors was currently being disruptive although celebrating their graduation.
Wednesday, Breakaway Beach, the travel enterprise that booked the pupil excursion from Boston to Nassau explained to NBC affiliate WBTS they think the blame is on American Airlines, expressing mechanical problems resulted in an hours-extensive delay on the tarmac, all through which some of the pupils “might have removed their masks” thanks to no air-conditioning and poor ventilation.
“Rely on me, they know how to put on masks, they put on it each day when they had been in college,” Jeanne Holgerson, who has a son on the vacation, told WBTS. “I indicate it is not that anybody was disrespectful.”
