The airline has emerged following spending budget carrier Norwegian drop its own extended-haul procedure – which employed a fleet of Trent-powered 787s – as section of extensive-ranging restructuring measures as the enterprise arrived under substantial money strain.

Norse Atlantic, which options to commence solutions in December, describes the leasing agreements with AerCap affiliates as that includes “attractive premiums and payment terms”, providing overall flexibility to the new airline throughout its begin-up stage.

All nine aircraft will be released to the airline by the conclusion of the first quarter of 2022. The carrier is leasing the 787-9s for about 12 yrs and the 787-8s for eight.

“Norse Atlantic Airways appears to be like ahead to giving our passengers with relaxed, cost-effective, intercontinental travel aboard these condition-of-the-art aircraft,” states Norse Atlantic chief Bjorn Tore Larsen.

AerCap chief commercial officer Peter Anderson claims the 787 is the “perfect aircraft” for the airline to start its extended-haul, very low-price tag operations.
