Hawaii Governor: Travelers who cheat Safe Travels system could be banned from entering – Honolulu, Hawaii news, sports & weather

“I do think that the Safe travels program, and mandatory quarantine has been an important part of how we manage COVID. And you know, we’ve gotten the best results in the country. So we take those, those travelers who flaunt their restrictions very seriously, we prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. We have arrested and prosecuted individuals whose falsified documents, test results, you know, those who break quarantine we’ve gone after, and, you know, we have law enforcement looking at those individuals that on social media are flaunting, breaking the law. You know, we haven’t been able to find any record of that individual actually arriving here in the islands. Yeah, we’ve been working with the airlines to place those individuals on the can’t fly list. Just because you know, someone who blatantly disregards the law and has no respect for the law is certainly something that someone that we don’t want to have free reign travel to the islands,” he added.
