Inspired by the James Beard Award-successful chef’s excursions to the South of France and the by-the-seaside life style that the Mediterranean affords, Kaysen’s Mara provides ethereal and eclectic eating with global flavors on shareable plates. The restaurant’s principal place seats 124, and personal eating areas and intimate chef’s tables are also out there.
Hope bistecca carved tableside, shareable branzino, flatbreads to dip into herby, zhoug-laden hummus and labneh dusted with za’tar. Mara’s moody Cocktail Bar, just exterior of the eating area, entertains boozy drinks and non-alcoholic options alike. Oh, and did I point out the temperature-controlled Chocolate Room hiding within Mara’s kitchen, exactly where you will locate artisans building decadent delights like truffles and tortes for the cafe and hotel?
Kaysen’s lobby cafe usually takes notes from Mediterranean delicacies as well. The cafe is at the corner of Hennepin Avenue and Washington Avenue in just the foyer of the hotel, and its floor-to-ceiling windows present pedestrians an unobstructed watch into the modern day espresso and pastry place.
Kaysen and his workforce have been creating the menus of equally Mara and Socca Café because December, averaging close to 45 hrs a week of recipe tests.
