1. The Creek and the Cave, a comedy club that not long ago closed its doorways in New York Town, will be moving to Austin and reopening April 1. The club will be opening at 611 E. Seventh St., Austin, in the room that formerly housed Barracuda, a person of many tunes venues in the Pink River Street place that closed through the pandemic. www.creekandcaveatx.com

2. The Gray Diner Bar and The Gray Industry will open this summer time at the forthcoming Thompson Hotel, 506 San Jacinto Blvd., Austin. Mashama Bailey, a 2019 James Beard Award winner, and Johno Morisano opened The Grey in 2014 in a previously segregated Greyhound bus terminal. The diner bar will be an all-day, full-services cafe in the resort lobby, when the marketplace will emphasis on counter service with grab-and-go products. 3. Moxy Austin-University opened its new 162-home resort Jan. 13 on The Drag at 2552 Guadalupe St., Austin. The hotel owned by White Lodging is the initially location in Texas for Marriott International’s Moxy Hotels brand, which operates 26 motels in the United States and 71 overseas. 4. Spread & Co. opened a new place at the Up to date Austin’s Laguna Gloria campus, 3809 W. 35th St., Austin, on Feb. 2. This is the 2nd area for the cafe from Rosemary and Austin Ewald, which very first opened on West 38th Avenue in 2019.
