Call for Caribbean tourism industry to advance hurricane preparedness

The Caribbean Tourism Group and the Caribbean Resort and Tourism Association have urged the tourism market to move up preparations for the Atlantic hurricane time.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is predicting ‘above average’ exercise this calendar year.

Up to 21 named storms have been forecast, with six to 10 owning the chance of becoming hurricanes

It predicts up to six could be significant hurricanes of Group 3 or earlier mentioned.
