(CNN) — Following a series of incidents aboard plane, like an assault that remaining a flight attendant with facial accidents and two missing teeth, the union symbolizing Southwest Airlines’ flight attendants is urging the business to take more robust ways to shield its users from an “epidemic of aggression and assault.”
“We are inquiring our provider, the government and the traveling public’s assist in ending this epidemic of aggression and assault. Southwest Airlines spokesman Chris Mainz stated the carrier does not “condone or tolerate verbal or bodily abuse of our flight crews.”

Paramedics took the flight attendant to a San Diego clinic for therapy, police said.
