Premier Inn and Beefeater hotel set to open in Hamilton by summer
Hamilton’s newest hotel is set to open up in the coming months.
Construction work on The Premier Inn and Beefeater hotel in Hamilton’s town centre is now complete and Whitbread, the owner of the Premier Inn and hub by Premier Inn hotel brands, say they are looking forward to a successful summer of staycations in Scotland.
Hamilton is among four new hotels set to open across the country.
Alex Flach, development director at Premier Inn, said: “We expect that this summer will be a busy year for staycations so it’s fantastic to have four new Premier Inn hotels opening in such popular locations in Scotland – from prime city centre sites to adventure tourism hotspots.
“Despite the challenges posed by Covid-19, we are committed to growing our network of Premier Inn hotels in Scotland and see strong long-term demand for our bedrooms in both urban and popular leisure locations. Our goal is to deliver new Premier Inn bedrooms into strategic locations where our brands are not currently represented and where we wish to improve our network and product for our guests.

Whitbread developed the former old Town House Hotel site after responding to a high-level of demand from business travellers and were keen to regenerate a key town centre site.
Whitbread told the Advertiser this week that they do hope to open early summer and to what extend they can open the Beefeater restaurant alongside the hotel will depend on the coronavirus guidelines in place in Scotland.
The Premier Inn’s £7m hotel has transformed the site of the former derelict Hamilton Town Hotel site.
As well as having 96 rooms, the Townhead Road development will also house a Beefeater restaurant.

The charred remains of the hotel, which was ripped apart by fire in 2018, was flattened by developers, to make way for the hotel.
The hotel is expected to bring around 60 jobs to the area.
